As we continue to scale, we're seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to play a critical role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure. This is an opportunity to step into a key role where your input will directly impact system reliability, performance, and data security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support production and development database environments (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Monitor database health and performance using tools and logs; identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks or failures
  • Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and high availability strategies
  • Optimize queries and indexes; guide developers on best practices for data access and schema design
  • Manage user permissions, roles, and security protocols in accordance with data governance policies
  • Assist in database architecture decisions and infrastructure planning
  • Contribute to automation efforts and help drive DevOps/dataOps initiatives
  • Document processes and procedures; ensure compliance with internal and external data standards
  • Experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS)
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong command of MS SQL and Oracle and experience with PostgreSQL
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, AWS)
  • Proven experience with database performance tuning and query optimization
  • Solid understanding of backup strategies, replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations
  • Familiarity with database security, encryption, and role-based access control
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams
